Step-By-Step Guidance using Workflows
Right now, Workflows serve no purpose other than training the model to know which step to take after which.
In addition to this, it will be very useful to guide users through an actual workflow with step-by-step guidance. The user can request to start a workflow, and predictably, the AI can suggest what is the right action to take, along with the details of how to do it. Once the user is done with the task, they tell the AI and the AI takes them to the next step. This process is repeated until the entire workflow is completed.
This is possible today through the use of functions (tool calling). However, it involves a lot of setup from the integrator. Instead, this can be built in directly through the existing workflows feature. This can be a minimal setup feature to allow for predictable step-by-step guidance for end users.
